Goodness, what a busy week it's been! First of all, Happy New Year to you all! I hope whatever you hope for this year that will bring you joy comes your way and whatever will bring you sadness stays far far away. We three Wises had a wonderful New Years Eve at the Denkes. We had a night of excellent food, great conversation, new friends and MURDER! That's right, it was a murder mystery evening and let's just say sweet innocent looking Carrie Denke has turned out to be a killah! You think you know someone...geez! So that was Noah's first murder mystery party and his first time staying up past his bedtime. He was soooo tired!!

New Years Day we celebrated Aaron's Grandma's 85th birthday at Louie's China Cuisine with a ton of folks. That was Noah's first time at a restaurant. This is our first picture of the three of us since he was born. His schedule was really out of whack for the second day in a row.
Friday was his doctors appointment to get a check up and his vaccinations. Oh goodness. Because of the schedule changes the last 2 days, he was still off track so turns out his next feeding was due to fall smack in the middle of his doctor visit. I just prayed they wouldn't keep us waiting too long. He flirted with all the nurses and he LOVES the crinkly paper on the doctor table so he rolls all around like a naked little freak and squaks, it was truly hilarious. THEN the shots, the meltdown, he realized he was hungry and the whole ride home....cry cry cry. I felt so bad for the little guy. So for anyone who wants to know he's 15.6lbs 27in (tall kiddo) and the doc said his head control, sitting up is wonderful.
The first for Noah here was later when I got him up from his nap and he went right into a meltdown cry. He just was not feeling good still and he held his arms up to me which he has occasionally done but he usually puts them right back down. This time he kept them up towards me so I picked him up and said "Do you want Mama to hold you?" and he cried even more and when I picked him up he wrapped his arms TIGHT around my neck and held on. Full on HUG action. He then started to calm down and do those breathy little pouts and I just lost it. He's always been a snuggle baby but to ask for a hug and hold on tight like that just killed me.
Here comes my favorite first.........This morning, after a hard night( I just hate vaccination recovery periods) Anyway, I was cleaning Noah up after a particularly messy night so I got a warm washcloth and put it "you know where" and he perked up, looked at me, and started GIGGLING!! He's made silly sounds for the longest time but today we have "The Giggle" It was a shoulder and belly yuk yuk yuk laugh and it cracked me up so bad I thought I was going to pee MY pants!
It is now my mission to capture this laugh and bring it to you, my blogging family.
Happy New Year! Here's to many "Firsts"
