Gratitude For 99 Balloons

I was fortunate enough to see this on Oprah and have not been able to get it off my mind. It made me think of so many things. I have only been a mother for a few months but can relate to so many stories that I hear other moms talk about. Many of them are funny, some sad, frustrating, etc... How many times do we argue with our spouse over who is going to get up to take care of the baby's needs? We all want our sleep and think we are more deserving of it, but after watching this video and learning of this family, I will never again complain about having to tend to my precious boy. It is a priviledge and God's greatest blessing to be able to spend one more moment with him in my arms or just looking at him sleeping peacefully with those arms up over his head.
The parents in the video are so thankful for every task that most of us complain about having to do..ie long feedings, diaper changes in the middle of the night..etc. Look at all of their smiles in every picture. Just to give you a head's up on the video....This daddy named Matt is reading letters he wrote to his son Eliot. I have not seen a couple so grateful for each moment and so loving for a long time. They are such a great example to me. I hope you take the 5 minutes to watch it and I hope it touches you the same way.
